Dr. Scott Gottlieb received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed a residency in internal medicine at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and a residency in dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed post doctoral fellowships at The Rockefeller University in psoriasis research and at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the treatment of skin cancers. He was the 1998 recipient of the Young Investigator Award of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has numerous publications and lectures regularly to other dermatologists throughout the country. He also serves a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he is involved in teaching of dermatology residents and is the Chairman of Dermatology at Brandywine Hospital. He is board certified in dermatology.
Dr. Charles Meyers received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in dermatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where he served as Chief Resident. He currently serves as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Dr. Michael S. Lehrer was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs. He received his Bachelor of Science degree Magna Cum Laude from Brown University and his medical degree Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed an internship in medicine, a residency in dermatology, and a fellowship in skin cancer at the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology at the Dermatologic SurgiCenter. He has published and lectured at the national and local level. Dr. Lehrer currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and is a volunteer instructor in dermatologic surgery for the VA Hospital.
Dr. Aerlyn Dawn is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and board-certified dermatologist. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and received his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Dawn completed his dermatology training at the University Pennsylvania and then completed a fellowship in Mohs surgery and dermatologic surgery. He has extensive experience in Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer, reconstructive surgery, and a wide variety of cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Dawn is a member of the prestigious American College of Mohs Surgery. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery, and as a dermatology representative to the American Medical Association. Dr. Dawn has taught medical students and residents at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Maryland, Wake Forest University, and Cooper University Hospital. He has authored more than thirty medical journal articles and book chapters and has given numerous presentations at national dermatology and dermatologic surgery meetings.
Dr. Matthew Halpern is a fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon. He attended Harvard Medical School and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Lenox HIll Hospital in New York City. He completed his residency training in dermatology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center/Columbia University where he was selected to be chief resident. He then went on to a two-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center/Columbia University. He is board certified in dermatology.
Dr. Ryan Hoffman is a double board certified plastic surgeon. He received his Bachelors degree from Haverford College and his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Hoffman completed his surgical residency at Lankenau Medical Center and completed his plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Hoffman is a Clinical assistant Professor of Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeon and the American Society for Aesthic Plastic Surgery. He also volunteers his time to the podiatry program at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic medicine.
Dr. Sevasti Margetas is a board certified dermatologist and practices general and cosmetic dermatology.
She completed her undergraduate training at Temple University from the Honors Program and then went to Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) where she also graduated with Honors. She finished her specialty training in Dermatology at the Lehigh Valley Health Network and PCOM while doing research on skin cancer at the University of Pennsylvania.
She is an advocate for skin cancer prevention and has extensive experience in dermatological surgery for the treatment of skin cancer. She also specializes in cosmetic skin enhancement. She has advanced training and experience in therapeutic cosmetic dermatologic procedures such as facial fillers, botulinum toxins (Botox™) and lasers.
Dr. Margetas looks forward to improving the lives of those with skin disease and enhancing those with cosmetic concerns.
Edward M. Blanchard, PhD, PA-C is a native of North Carolina. After receiving his B.A. degree from Wake Forest University, he obtained a PhD in Physiology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and started a research career at the University of Vermont Department of Physiology and Biophysics as a postdoctoral fellow and assistant professor. After completing a Senior NIH fellowship at Harvard Medical School Department of Genetics and the publication of numerous papers relating to cardiac physiology, he changed to a clinical medicine career by completing the MCP Hahnemann Physician Assistant program. He has worked for the last 16 years in this area as a Dermatology Physician Assistant.
Tracy Friedman MMS, PA-C received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in Atlanta, and her Masters and Physician Assistant degree from Midwestern University in Chicago. Before joining Dermatology and Skin Surgery in March 2014, Tracy worked for seven years at North Atlanta Dermatology in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a board certified Physician Assistant and enjoys working with patients of all ages.
Maureen McLaughlin, PA-C received her masters of science degree in physician studies from Philadelphia University. Before joining Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center Maureen worked four years at a General and Cosmetic Dermatology practice in Bucks County. She is a board certified Physician Assistant and is enthusiastic in growing our Dermatology practice aesthetically.
We would like to introduce our medical-licensed aesthetician, Bridget Sullivan. Bridget has over 20 years of experience in aesthetic skin care. She specializes in addressing skin conditions like acne, aging, and sun-damaged skin. From customized facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, to laser services, Bridget takes pride in each treatment she performs. Bridget has sought out to get the best training in cosmetics and aesthetic skin care. She has always had a passion for skin care and dedicates her education to providing clients a science-based approach to caring for their beauty and skin care needs.
